Rev. Aneeta Devi Saroop has been serving full time at Spirit of Life as pastor since December 1, 2020 and Assistant to the Bishop in the BC Synod for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion since 2024. She earned an MDiv at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon Sk and studied English Literature and Sociology at the University of Victoria. She is currently a DMin Candidate studying Contextual and Practical Theology at the Saskatoon Theological Union. She considers herself "Born Hindu, Baptized Chrisian and Lutheran by choice". She welcomes any and all conversations about faith and even questions that aren't about faith. She serves on the board of the Metro Vancouver Alliance, has served on both BC Synod Council, NCC, CLAY NPC, The ELCIC Task Force for Adressing Rascim, White Suprmacy and Issues of Racial Injustice and was a Co-Keynote speaker for the Canadian Lutheran Anglican Youth Gathering in Waterloo Ontario 2023. She is a regular writing contributor for Eternaty for Today, Canada Lutheran, LWF Devotionals and the Victoria Times Colonist Spiritually Speaking. Pastor Aneeta is married to Thomas and togeher they are empty nest parents of three incredible adult children.
