Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent - a time of solemn reflection to pray, fast, donate to a cause that captures your heart and to study. Oftentimes, we've heard of the practise of "giving something up" for lent as we fast. We can also add something life giving to our practise of fasting, for instance drinking more water or carving out time for a walk. Whatever your practise, Lent is a time to make space to nurture your relationship with God, who longs for us.
Here at Spirit of Life, we will worship in Lent. We will weave together a Lenten Banner - when you arrive on Sunday at 10:am, bring a piece of nature that symbolizes life for you. A flower, a piece of moss, a twig.
Our BREAD & WINE ASH WEDNESDAY service will be an informal time of reflection, eucharist, impostion of ashes and a soup supper. RSVP is required pastoraneeta@gmail.com
